Citizens gathered at Queen's Park on Thursday to protest Bill 13, Premier Dalton McGuinty's anti-bullying bill.

Protesters said the initiative contravenes parental and religious rights through such measures as requiring gay-straight alliances in publicly-funded schools. A counterprotest formed nearby.

Reports today from The Canadian Press suggest that in Thursday's federal budget speech, Stephen Harper's Conservative government will announce an increase in the retirement age in Canada from 65 to 67.
